Bookxel on Playdate now!

This update introduces the FNT format of Bookxel, which is a format which is used for the Playdate tiny handheld game system. The port was done by Adam Bethell and is used in a new game currently titled Cranky Contraptions. It's a game about making automata to solve puzzles. Attached are some preliminary screenshots of the game, where you can see the font in action. Bookxel did not have a bold variant, but in this game it is used to show the current selection. Some creative liberty was taken to make the bold variant but it is quite faithful to the regular font!  However the character 'q' was 1 pixel too long but was swiftly updated. Well done.

Adam offered to so share the font file to be hosted here for others to use. There are not that many general purpose OFL licensed fonts for Playdate yet on itch.io so please enjoy the Bookxel font on your Playdate! 

You can try out one of Adams previous Playdate games, Crank Tank. Best played on the Playdate system but it can also be played in the Playdate simulator.
